My Epiphany

A while ago I realized something very important, sort of a life lesson, if you will. It happened after my father sat down with me and discussed the dilemnas caused by my human mistakes.

He spoke with reason, to be sure, but it lacked something. Something that I had aquired in the earliest stages of my infancy...What was it?

And that's when I noticed it: His speech did not have any understanding of human behavior.

That got me thinking, if someone as wise and learned as my father were to use such logical means to bring my errors to my attention, then it must mean that I am doing something wrong, and should follow his example. It's only logical, right?

I decided to rid myself of my human nature. To throw away those cumbersome emotions that had been my companions and detriments since birth. To see things as they are, and not what they symbolize, or have the capability of being.

I encourage others to do the same. Throw away your humanity, my brothers and sisters! Lock your emotions in a chest and throw away the key! To be human is to be flawed, and flaws must be fixed!

Learn from our artificial children: Machines. Creatures of glorious logic and efficiency. Embrace the cold and heartless reasoning of the machine. Together, my fellow sapiens, we can move forward to an age of vacant perfection!

I don't really care for it. I was making small talk because I didn't have anything to say. ^^; I prefer alternative rock.

Thank you very much for the fav.

Don't mention it. I like the idea of one seeking knowledge, and I'm really glad your OC didn't turn out to be "just another MidnaxZant child" He seems more physically vulnerable than many other OCs, mine included, and I like that. =)

Aww thank you so much. :)

To be honest I haven't played TP ever, I want to and will hopefully get it within 1-2 weeks.

I didn't want him to really have any powers, and I will eventually make him in a kinda of TP storyline comic. He will be helped by the Link and Midna and probably stay with them on their trip. Having books from the past games, he will often point out allusions throughout their adventure. I love allusions and that's the reason I made him have those books. At first he will hide under that cloak I mentioned, he just doesn't want anyone to know what he is, even though he's technically by his princess.

The storyline of TP might be altered slightly, for more side adventures. It's the sort of 'what would you do if you were part of that game' ordeal. My OC would be more of a comic relief, not offering much combat assistance other than running into a corner scared.

Will he know that Midna is his princess? Will he hide in Link's shadow, similarly to Midna?

He knows Midna is his princess. He won't say anything about it in front of Link, assuming she doesn't want anyone to know.

He won't hide in Link's shadow, he's too young and hasn't fully grasped his people's magic. I'm developing another way that he'll find to get around.
